Volunteering in Mind

Here at Mind Halton we are always looking for people who are willing to share their skills, interests and enthusiasm as volunteers.

Volunteering is a great opportunity that enables you to use your skills and abilities, unlock previously undiscovered talents, enhance your CV and build on your confidence. It also offers you the chance to meet new people, socialise and get to know your local community.

What volunteering opportunities are available?

Volunteering at Mind Halton might include:-

  • Befriending
  • Mentoring
  • Leading or supporting activities for example
      • Walking group
      • Arts and craft session
      • Gardening
      • IT session
      • Drama group
      • Fitness group
      • Trips and social outings
      • Women’s group
      • Men’s group
      • Developing a news letter
  • Trusteeship
  • Fundraising

The above list is not meant to be prescriptive as most importantly you will bring your own talents and abilities into the volunteering role.

What support is available?

As much as you need, we will provide all volunteers with induction and training as well as on going support to enable you to offer quality services on behalf of Mind Halton; you will also be reimbursed out of pocket expenses and receive recognition for your support.
